THOUGHTS
Good Morning my loved ones. This will be my
last post this week. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. But
even as I type those words, things are not as “merry” as in former years.
One has to be “out in public around people” to catch this season. A
masked man with a pleasant voice wishing me a good day in a parking lot is as
close as I got yesterday. I look at my screen saver which is a collage of
my grandchildren and it occurs to me that I will not hug one of them this
Christmas. I am acutely aware of the value of a HUG! I think
we all understand these words.
So it’s time to wake Phil up and give him a new
PERSPECTIVE. God is still God! I woke up in HOPE this morning,
and I note that I did wake up. I can still think, and love. You are
still there for me to write to! We still love each other, though
from afar right now. Faith is still ours and Jesus is still coming!
A few encouraging passages:
Ps 18:46 The LORD lives, and blessed be my rock; And exalted be
the God of my salvation,
Ps 28:9 Save Your people and bless Your inheritance; Be their
shepherd also, and carry them forever.
Ps 32:1 How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered!
Ps 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me,
[bless] His holy name.
Eph 1:3-4 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly
[places] in Christ 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before
the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before
him in love:
2Cor 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
1Pet 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus
Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a
living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
Ps 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast
spirit within me.
Col 3:1-4 Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep
seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on
earth. 3 For you have died and your life is hidden with Christ in
God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, is revealed, then you also will be
revealed with Him in glory.
My Prayer:
Encourage us Oh Lord. May we be strengthened with your might and power
and your eternal nature. Help us to see Jesus with each breath we
take. Help us to see how blessed we are because we are yours. Not
today Lord but forever, not me Lord, but others.
In Jesus name
Amen
